Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu (UMB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bicol University, Philippines, during the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 22–25 June 2026. This milestone reflects the shared vision of both institutions to foster international collaboration, academic excellence, and sustainable development through strategic global partnerships.
Signing MoU (OIA UMB)
The MoU establishes a framework for mutually beneficial cooperation in education, teaching, research, academic development, faculty and student mobility, joint publications, and collaborative academic initiatives. By strengthening institutional ties, UMB and Bicol University aim to enhance knowledge exchange, promote intercultural learning, and create innovative opportunities that benefit students, researchers, and academic communities in both countries.
This partnership reinforces UMB's commitment to internationalization and its mission to prepare globally competitive graduates. Through collaboration with leading universities across the region, UMB continues to expand its international network, strengthen research and educational quality, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impactful academic cooperation and global engagement.
