Nine international students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu, together with regular students and students from the International Class Program, enthusiastically participated in the Kain Basurek Carnival held to celebrate the anniversary of Bengkulu City. The event became a vibrant cultural celebration that brought together participants from diverse backgrounds to showcase the richness of local traditions and international friendship.
During the carnival, the students proudly marched while wearing cultural attire and carrying the spirit of unity, diversity, and collaboration. Their participation reflected the strong commitment of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu in promoting intercultural understanding and encouraging international students to actively engage in local cultural activities.
The Kain Basurek Carnival provided a meaningful opportunity for international students to experience the uniqueness of Bengkulu’s cultural heritage directly. Through this event, they were able to interact with local communities, learn more about traditional values, and strengthen the bonds of friendship among students from different countries and cultures.
